German Unity Day

A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 3, at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate German Unity Day at Deutsches Haus, 1700 Moss Street in New Orleans. It will feature poster exhibits, a lecture and music.

Sponsors are the Honorary Consul of Germany in Louisiana, Deutsches Haus, the GACC, and the Deutsches Haus Ladies Auxiliary. The event commemorates German reunification in 1990 when the German Democratic Republic joined the Federal Republic of Germany, so that for the first time since 1945 there existed a single German state.
