With New Flooring, the GACC Museum Is Returning!
More than four months after Hurricane Ida’s rain drenched the carpet in the GACC museum, beautiful new vinyl plank flooring is now in place in the museum, the director’s office and the library.

For three years in a row, the GACC has produced a calendar with historic images of Gretna from our large photography archive. With photos of early cotton oil industries, railroad workers, turn-of-the-century retail businesses in the old downtown and mom and pop corner stores, these calendars capture life in long-ago Gretna.
The 2022 calendar is special because it is the first one to use full color, thanks to the work of assistant director Ira Hopkins, who curated the photos. It has 13 months of photos and calendar pages.
