“Oktoberfest in Dezember” Beer Garden in Gretna

GACC Maifest 2021

On Saturday, December 4, the German-American Cultural Center in Gretna, La., will celebrate the season with an “Oktoberfest in Dezember” Beer Garden from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Grilled brats, homemade sauerkraut, baked pretzels. Of course, German beer and wine will be available.

The Bayou Bavarians German band, led by accordionist Eric Hahn, will be on hand to play all the German favorites as well as other popular tunes. Entry to the beer garden is free of charge.

The GACC was unable to hold its traditional Oktoberfest due to Covid concerns, but the December 4 event will have the same celebratory flavor of a neighborhood German festival. For more information, call 504-363-4202 of visit https://gacc-nola.org.
