GACC November Dinner

GACC members meet for a program and dinner at 6 p.m.
November 16, 2024

Members’ meeting, 6 p.m., Salem Lutheran Church. Guest speakers will be GACC director Carol Schlueter,  will be speaking about West Bank Germans, plus Pat Smith will give a genealogy presentation. Our dinner on Saturday will have a Thanksgiving theme. Johnny’s Seafood, our caterer, will bring turkey in gravy, mashed potatoes and salad, plus desserts.

We have important news — our monthly meetings are moving to Salem Lutheran Church (at the corner of Fourth and Amelia Streets) in Gretna. This change is the result of the renovation work going on at the 519 Huey P. Long Avenue building that houses our museum.

We think you will enjoy the new location in Salem’s Schmid Hall. After all, Salem was founded by German immigrants! Many thanks go out to Salem for hosting us.
