GACC Director Carol Schlueter has a new title — she was chosen Tourism Ambassador of the Year by the Jefferson Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Ira Hopkins shared stories about Gretna’s German immigrants at a museum visit by Markus Hatzelmann, Deputy Consul General from the German Consulate in Houston.

Starting with the Gretna Christmas Parade on December 1, to the annual Christmas Party on December 14, this month was busy for the GACC.

A men’s choir from Germany visited our museum and then gave a wonderful concert at Gretna’s St. Joseph Church.

October is German Heritage Month and the GACC celebrated with beer gardens — Gretna Fest and Oktoberfest.

October is festival month! The GACC will host beer gardens at Gretna Fest, Oct. 4-6, and our own Oktoberfest on Oct. 19.
